I don't know why, but playing hooky and spending an hour or so at the park during the week is soooo much more fun than spending the day at the park on the weekend.  It's those short relaxing breaks with the kids that seem so special and help me keep my sanity.

It's fall in Virginia, and the foliage is beautiful.  Maddie and Lily collected leaves.
